Biography

 

Goldrush is a modern and outstanding soul, funk and pop band, featuring fantastic four part harmony vocals and superb musicianship. An extensive repertoire specialising in Motown, 70s disco classics and modern contempory pop songs. Including hits from Stevie Wonder to The Ojays to Amy Winehouse. The band is based in Nottingham and operates throughout the whole of the U.K.

 

Featuring Miles Wilson on Lead Guitar/vocals, Tony Cross Rhythm Guitar/vocals, Neil Lowe Drums/Vocals and Charlie Wayman Bass Guitar/Vocals. The musicians in the band draw on a huge catalogue of experience, including record deals, session musicianship, world tours, T.V. interviews MTV and VH1 appearances, corporate entertainment and playing at over 500 weddings and 200 Party’s at the last count!

 

The band specialise in classic songs both old or new that can be both sung and danced to, creating a fantastic atmosphere for your entertainment. Typical songs at a gig include You Cant Hurry Love, Jimmy Mack, Love Train, You To Me Are Everything and Valerie. The band stand out due to its beautifully layered vocals and harmonies which pay the ultimate tribute to the fantastic songs they are performing.

 

The guys in the band have been playing together in bands for the best part of the last 15 years and have played numerous society weddings and private parties. Guests at these parties have included Sir Steve Redgrave, Bryan Robson and Nick Hewer from the Apprentice. A couple of the guys in the band have also have had record deals and have played at such prestigious venues as Wembley Arena, Cardiff International Arena and Hammersmith Apollo. They have also toured with established artists such as Razorlight, Def Leppard, Thunder and Kula Shaker. Numerous support gigs have included Beverley Knight, Brian May, Ronan Keeting and even Rolf Harris.  They have also recorded with artists as diverse as Nigel Kennedy, Ruby Turner and Julian Cope.

 

The band prides itself on being approachable and able to adapt there performances to their clients requirements. A client might want a Motown set, followed by a modern set followed by a set of party classics with a 1960s and 70s disco. No trouble for Goldrush, the band has a repertoire of over 200 songs and 3000 songs in their D.J. locker.

 

The band come fully suited and booted in superb matching 1960s Italian cut suits,  shirts and ties to add a touch of style to your event. They can also dress down smart/casual if your event has a more relaxed flavour.

The band provide a full 1K P.A. system, full professional lighting rig and an optional DJ service. For bigger corporate events a larger P.A. can be provided on request.
