Baby Love is a Motown tribute show totally dedicated to the wonderful music of Tamla Motown still popular decades later!   Songs by The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha & The Vandellas and smash hit movie "Dreamgirls" all feature in this high energy, high impact show.

Baby Love is a tribute show totally dedicated to the wonderful music of Tamla Motown. Still popular decades later, songs by The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha & The Vandellas and the latest smash hit movie "Dreamgirls" all feature in this high energy, high impact show.

 

Baby Love consists of three young female artists from the Midlands: Charlotte & Philippa Mills and Kirsty Cleaver. Accompanied by a sound engineer with over 30 years of experience in the industry, Baby Love are a sure success for any party or function, any time of the year.

 

Kirsty has always had a passion for performing. She studied performing arts at Dudley College for sixth form and has never lost her drive for it since. Over the past three years Kirsty has founded successful Midlands tribute band "Spice Aloud". Spice Aloud is a tribute to the two leading girl bands in the UK: Spice Girls and Girls Aloud. Spice Aloud have been a successful tribute act for roughly 3 years and, as founder, Kirsty is delighted to have had such success aswell as so much fun. Now, on this new venture, Kirsty is so excited to be singing some of her favourite songs in Baby Love's new take on Motown.

 

Philippa is the youngest member of Baby Love; but she definitely does not lack experience in the performance industry. From an early age Philippa has studied dance and singing. She now has completed all of her singing grades and is pursuing dance teaching in her spare time. She is also no stranger to the stage having played lead roles in many amateur shows around the Midlands over the past 6 years. She is very excited to be embarking on the new challenges of singing and performing Motown music around the county and hopes it reminds people how amazing the music of this time period still is today.

 

Charlotte co-ordinates the songs and choreography for Baby Love. She is currently training to be a primary school teacher but has a passion for performing in her spare time. She musically directs and choreographs for amateur societies around the Midlands but also takes on lead roles in shows. Her favourite roles to date are "Maria " in West Side Story , "Julie Jordan" in Carousel and "Carmen Diaz" in Fame. Charlotte also teaches violin and singing to pupils locally, having studied both instruments for 15 years.She is proud to be a part of such a new and exciting group paying tribute to Motown. She quotes: "We are definitely totally different to what the tribute industry currently has to offer in terms of Motown. We are blonde, modern and add a new raw edge to this well loved music. Let's hope the audiences enjoy our show just as much as we enjoy performing it!"
